The JM BUSHA 54 National Peace Pledge Marathon was held on the 1st of May 2018, at Greenhills stadium, Randfontein.  over 600 Runners participated in the 42.2km, 10km, and 5.4km races. The 42.2km was the last comrades qualifier of 2018. Local Mayor Mr. Mzi Khumalo and district mayor Mr Boyce Maneli attended the event, addressed participants, and officiated the prize giving and handing out of medals.
The event was a good start in achieving our goal of 10 000 - 15 000 runners within 5 years and raising funds to ensure that our future leaders are given a fair opportunity to reach there full potential. The race attracted runners from: - Kenya - Lesotho - Ghana - Zimbabwe. We look forward to hosting  again in 2019.

for Peace and Unity

"Let us provide another corrective to Socialism, and prevent the Wealth we are beginning to build in our own countries from being used for the purpose of acquiring national power or prestige. Let us make sure that it is used solely for raising the standards of our people. Let us not allow the Wealth that we are creating to live side by Poverty and tolerate that Poverty. " - Julius K. Nyerere
